Patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) who relapse after both BTK and BCL2 inhibition (double-refractory disease) have few remaining treatment options. 

The project investigates how the CLL tumour microenvironment impairs natural killer (NK) cell function in these patients, and which mechanisms can be targeted to restore it. 

A particular focus lies on NK cell engager bispecifics as a therapeutic strategy in this setting.
